Slow Food East End offers grants to local growers and producers

Our Mission Is Now

Earlier this spring, Slow Food East End Leaders held our annual strategic planning meeting, and we updated our mission :

"We seek to create dramatic and lasting change in our food system; Slow Food East End connects communities on the East End with the people, traditions, plants, animals, fertile soils and waters that create our food. We inspire individuals and communities to change the East End of Long Island through food that is good, clean and fair for all."

It's time to walk the walk .

Slow Food East End, due to our supporters,

is donating more than $15,000 to food pantries on the East End; you can match
We are helping those who have earned our Snail of Approval
And we are offering $500 to $1,000 mini grants to any farmer, fisher, artisanal food producer who sources their living from the waters and grounds of the East End of Long Island.

We are asking our members and supporters to match our effort of $15,000 for the food pantries. Give what you can.

We work for our food system, because we believe in good, clean and fair food for all.
